Welcome

Fellow Democrats:

Happy holidays and thank you for the honor of representing you on the Washington State Democratic Central Committee (WSDCC) these past twelve years.

After reflection and PCO consultation, I've decided to seek another term as one of your representatives on the WSDCC.

With Donald Trump returning to the White House next week, it's very important that we build the strongest possible state party organization to support our state's Democratic governance and lend our expertise and resources to states that are trying to build progressive majorities, like North Carolina and Michigan. Having served as a delegate for Kamala Harris to the 2024 Democratic National Convention, and having been a regular at Netroots Nation for decades, I believe I'm well positioned to connect our district organization not only to other Democrats in the region, but Democrats in other parts of the country, too.

I've built this website to serve as a hub for my candidacy.

  • This Accomplishments page discusses my successes in improving the governance and effectiveness of our state party, including the passage of a bylaws amendment at last year's state convention to make the work of the party's executive committee more transparent. I also became a member of the executive committee last term, representing the 1st Congressional District.

  • This Priorities page presents my ideas for what we can and should focus on at the state and local levels of the party. It explains what I'll be focusing on if reelected.

  • If you're unfamiliar with the work of the Washington State Democratic Central Committee, this page explains what the role is and why it's important.

As one of your two state committeemembers, I bring to the 45th a strong, well-developed knowledge of how the state party functions, excellent relationships with our state party officers who are seeking reelection, a track record of ensuring our district is represented at every state party meeting weekend, and a commitment to two-way communication... both elevating the concerns of our members to the state party as well as reporting back the state party's decisions in a timely fashion.

If you are a Democratic PCO serving in the 45th, I would be honored to have your vote at the reorganization meeting on Wednesday, January 15th.

Please reach out to me to share any comments or questions that you have. I value your input and would love to hear from you.

Democratically yours,

Andrew Villeneuve
